The Can of Worms

More than 60% of research on earth, going on right now is based on Human Psychology. The scientists all over the world think that after a lot of studies, they will finally be able to come up with a set of simple mind rules that will be applicable to all human beings, of all shapes, sizes and colors, in all professions and at all places. But I really am not sure of this, ‘coz these ppl have simply left out a very important and so far the strangest brain system alive, an engineer’s mind, infact being specific, a to-be engineer’s mind.

People think that the to-be engineers have a natural inclination towards engineering or whatever. But people even think that IIT’s are world’s best colleges, so it really doesn’t matter what people think, they’re mostly incorrect. Exams are going on, and no matter how hard I try, last day preparation is not helping anymore, unlike the good old school days. And today, one day before my last exam, as an excuse to ‘maaro peace’ (that’s a sophisticated term for being lazy and careless), I have decided to give a thought about what went wrong. I mean, everything was perfect. I used to get a day or two off before the exam, I studied that whole day, irrespective of the ‘peace maaroing’ whole year, and then I used to explode the exam (read, Paper phod dena). But now, I think I study everything before the exam, I think I have read it all except that small stupid topic which anyways won’t be asked, and then in the paper that stupid topic turns out to be the most dominant topic. Is it that our teachers misguide us, or is this their plan to filter out oversmart ppl like me, or is it that they are playing mind games with us? Coz if this is a game, man it’s boring, harmful, difficult and annoying.

And finally I have been able to trace the root problem. Since this is applicable to many of us, I will be using the terms ‘we’ and ‘us’ frequently. Actually, we are excellent time managers. Many great people all around the world have already proved the importance of time-management to the world, and we, fortunately have mastered this ability. All around the world, people are getting old, not having fun throughout their lives, and then repenting for it. So we, the future of the world, have decided not to repent later, and accordingly, have managed our time to take care of this. We spend the whole semester ‘maaroing peace’ and enjoying ourselves. Then few days before the exams, the fear of losing our fun time later forces us not to waste time on studying then, which anyways will have to be done during the exams, so far so good. And now, when we have three days off before the exams, we prefer to not lose on our fun-time, as that would totally ruin the schedule, and so it’s always the last day last night that we start performing our exam time duty (read study). And that’s how it is done!

So now, after putting so many efforts in studying (which, apparently is ‘the reason’ we are here for), it is really unfair to expect our dear professors to be good to our gradesheets and show their kindness. They are humans after all, and they too have a dream, of changing us (:D). So, I guess there is no problem after all, and that this shall go on, and that I have just wasted half an hour writing about a problem, which is not actually a problem, irrespective of the fact that I have an exam day after tomorrow morning. Selfless me, man I gotta study now.
